6th , 7th , and 8th graders have a thousand different thoughts and feelings (changing all the time) with regard to faith. Journey in Faith, a program for middle-school aged youth, offers a chance for these young people to ask questions about faith (Christian faith as well as other faith traditions) and faith’s relationship to the rest of life. We study the stories of scripture, and the Lutheran and Episcopal “catechisms” that explore the Ten Commandments, Creed, Lord’s Prayer and Sacraments. Participating youth may choose to affirm their baptisms in the Rite of Confirmation.
